I just finished this book today and loved it so much I couldn't wait to pass it on to a friend at work. This book tugs on your heartstrings, makes you laugh and tear up and is just amazing. Well written, it definitely felt like I was back in Mississippi in the 60's. I read parts of the book and looked around me thinking to myself "wow, we have come such a long way as a nation and as a society". I also have to be realistic and tell myself that we have a long way to go, as well.
Great book, pick it up.
