A Better Night's Sleep

My hubby just got his test results back from the sleep study and they revealed "severe" apnea.  Yeah, I figured.  He got his CPAP machine and I have to say, it's DIVINE not waking up to a rumbling caribou all night long.  Yes, I said caribou... not unlike the Cebo from Veggie Tales, except that a caribou is not a fictional character.

I entered about 7 contests to win the new Silhouette Cameo.  I am completely stoked, as I want nothing more than to own one of these precious gems!

Welcome to Las Vegas

Well, it's Friday... FINALLY!  We leave for Vegas tonight at 10pm.  I can't wait!  It's going to be completely AMAZING!

I have never been to Vegas before and plan to have a smashing good time.  I have heard that apparently you can take your drinks with you, like walking down the street!!?!?!  Really!?  That's pretty cool!

I kinda want to go visit the Pawn Stars shop from the show... but who knows if that will happen or not. 
Maybe we will win LOTS OF MONEY!  (doubtful, I am about as lucky as a plastic penny)  >.<

Cold Front in Hell

After weeks of solid triple digit temps, today it's only supposed to be 97 degrees.  Get your jackets out Kansas!

I cannot wait to move to Vancouver.  That's right, our dream is to move the hell out of Kansas when all the kids are out of the house and head to Canada.  We'd be on our way right now if it weren't for the stupid shared custody with our kids BS that we have to deal with.

Nooting or Rooting, hopefully NOT tooting, oh my!

I finally gave in and bought an e-reader after several months of drooling over the Kindle, whom I swiftly fell out of love with when I met the Nook Color.  At first, I didn't want to spend the extra money on the color screen and additional Android capabilites (ZOMG ANGRY BIIIIRRRDDSS!)... but when I saw the beautimous screen, I had to have it.  Aside from the fact that the Kindle has this HORRID page flashing/blinky thingy whenever you turn the page.  Ugh, certain migraine, I could feel it brewing.

It wasn't until after I got my NC that I then realized you could totally hack it to run a newer version of Android OS on it, and ENJOY tablet like features for half the price of the 10 inch tablets on the market.  So I made the leap, we bought some microSD cards and farted around with CM7 and finally, the beautiful MIUI mod. 

I have to say, I am IN LOVE.  It's fast and furious and I can customize every little teensy detail of how my NC looks.  I of course LOVE eye candy, so the live wallpapers of pretty purple flowers floating down my desktop that I can touch and they float away, like they are skimming atop a clear pond.....ahhhhh

Ok, totally geeking out.  All is well.

Tonight is dinner with friends at TGI Fridays, I plan to drink at least 1 pina coloda because they are AMAZING.

I think the hub-bub is going to be fairly down tonight as it sounds like the job is weighing heavily on him again, and he's just about fed up.  Hell, if we didn't need his check to pay the mortgage, I'd tell him to just walk out RIGHT NOW!  Wishful thinking, eh?

Fly away little balloon!

I felt so sorry for Brandon last night, we were coming home from Applebee's and both kids had balloons.  Well he hadn't wanted it tied to his wrist like Alyssa, so he had put his window down halfway home and right when we were almost home, the balloon he says he was "holding on to" flew right out the window!  He didn't even utter a word at first, I think he was in complete shock over how fast it just popped out of his lap and out of the car. 

Poor little guy, and he doesn't cry over things like that, he gets angry and stubborn with a tad bit of hatred mixed in.  He defiantly hops on his bike when we get out of the car, and even though i tell him to go in the house and get his shower done, he tells me he is going after his balloon.  I try to explain to him that it's long gone by now, and he just rides on, as if he didn't hear a word.  My heart breaks when I think about it now, but last night I was so frustrated with his lack of desire to mind and his stubborn behavior that it was hard to feel sympathetic.

The kids love balloons, and love playing with them.

I think I need to buy more of those giant punching balloon things for the boys, they seemed to have fun with those.
